Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of dynamic engineering teams, including requirements management, scrum processes, retrospectives, and team engagement activities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance APIs, user interfaces, services, and systems
- Engage in hands-on coding and provide direct support to engineers
- Provide technical and architectural guidance for platform development, integration, testing, and maintenance
- Lead agile software practices within the engineering teams to introduce industry best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align team efforts with company goals, define technology roadmaps, and establish achievable product release timelines
- Manage a full lifecycle of team functions to foster recruitment, engagement, retention, coaching, and performance evaluation of exceptional engineers
- Promote the engineering team's contributions to other departments as an internal advocate for technology opportunities and constraints
- Address technical debt to uphold development efficiency and predictability while minimizing operational incidents
- Contribute to cross-functional engineering initiatives as a key member of the engineering management team
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on technical management background in designing and deploying secure, scalable products and services
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, or JavaScript
- Demonstrated coaching and leadership development skills
- Strong ability to collaborate across teams, make data-driven decisions, and manage remote teams
- Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced environment with autonomy and diverse responsibilities
Additional Details:
- Eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates
- Compensation factors determined by various criteria such as experience, skills, qualifications, and organizational needs
- Competitive salary range: $182,500 - $240,000
- Annual bonus target set at 15%
