Role Overview:

As an SRE/DevOps Engineer specializing in Web3/Blockchain at Galaxy, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability, scalability, and security of our blockchain infrastructure. Working closely with teams managing proof-of-stake validators, Bitcoin mining operations, and digital asset custody solutions, you will contribute by enhancing and supporting our cutting-edge technology stack. Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and uphold scalable, secure infrastructure for proof-of-stake validators, Bitcoin mining, and custody solutions

Collaborate with diverse teams to identify and implement enhancements in infrastructure, monitoring capabilities, and incident response procedures

Deploy monitoring and observability tools to ensure the health, performance, and resilience of our blockchain infrastructure

Develop and maintain automation solutions to streamline deployment, scalability, and recovery processes

Support the Bitcoin mining team in deploying and managing cloud components, VMWare, and other virtualization technologies

Implement and uphold security best practices across infrastructural aspects including access controls, encryption, and network security

Engage in on-call duties to ensure continuous service reliability and uptime

Stay informed on emerging trends and advancements in the Web3/blockchain domain through ongoing research

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in SRE/DevOps, specializing in Web3/blockchain technologies

Previous experience in managing Ethereum or Solana infrastructure is essential

Deep understanding of proof-of-stake consensus mechanisms, with experience in validator management

Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMWare, KVM, Docker)

Skilled in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)

Strong background in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)

Knowledgeable in security practices such as encryption, access control, and network security

Exceptional problem-solving skills, effective communication, and team collaboration abilities

Capable of adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Experience with digital asset custody solutions and security practices
