Your role entails:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of agile engineering teams, managing activities such as requirements analysis, scrums, retrospectives, and team engagement events
- Developing, enhancing, and sustaining APIs, user experiences, services, and systems
- Hands-on coding and providing direct support to engineering team members
- Offering technical and architectural guidance for platform development, design, integration, testing, and maintenance processes
- Leading agile software methodologies within engineering teams and introducing best practices in the industry
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align team efforts with organizational objectives, create technology roadmaps, and establish realistic product launch schedules
- Managing the full lifecycle of team leadership, from recruitment and mentoring to training and performance management
- Acting as an advocate within the engineering department, articulating technology implications and possibilities for project development
- Supervising technical debt to ensure consistent development pace and minimize operational incidents
- Contributing to company-wide engineering initiatives as part of Circle's engineering management team
- Coordinating project execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Hands-on coding experience in languages like Go, Java, or Javascript
- Proficiency in designing, building, and deploying secure, scalable products and services
- Commitment to remaining hands-on with coding and aspiring to develop leaders within and beyond your team
- Enthusiasm for coaching and empowering individuals to achieve their best work
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of making sound decisions and trade-offs
- Prior experience managing remote teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy and accountability
Additional Details:
- This role is eligible for immediate sponsorship under the PERM program for qualified candidates
- Compensation is based on several factors, including experience, skill set, qualifications, and business needs, with total compensation packages tailored accordingly
- Competitive base pay range of $182,500 - $240,000
- Annual bonus target of 15%
- Comprehensive benefits package, including equity, along with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) options, a discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave annually, and 11 paid holidays in the U.S.
