Job Summary:

We are in the search for a Product Designer to join our remote-first team at Hiro. This individual will play a vital role in designing our hosted development experience, the Hiro Platform. The focus will be on enabling developers to create and expand applications on the Stacks blockchain. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working on products geared towards developers in the tech or crypto industries and should be skilled in leading design efforts for the Product team at Hiro.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Design Lead to maintain and enhance Hiro’s design to ensure consistency and quality across the product and brand.

Work closely with the Product Manager to engage in continuous product exploration, experimentation, and issue resolution.

Partner with the Engineering Manager and Engineers to comprehend technical possibilities and constraints and facilitate seamless design handoff.

Participate in research and integration phases, seeking input from various perspectives and integrating stakeholder requirements.

Qualifications:

Over 7 years of experience creating top-notch UX and UI for early- or growth-stage startups in a senior or lead capacity.

Demonstrated ability to independently execute the product design process consistently and successfully.

Extensive background in developing consumer or technical apps with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and user-friendliness.

Familiar with the developer mindset, comfortable with technical content, and able to engage in technical dialogues.

Experience collaborating with front-end engineers and preparing designs ready for implementation.

Proficiency with GitHub for project management.

Preferred qualifications:

5+ years of regular experience using Figma or an equivalent collaborative design application.

3+ years of experience with user testing platforms such as usertesting.com.

Background in designing design systems.

About The Opportunity

Hiro is in search of a collaborative and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to assist in scaling our infrastructure to support our growing requirements and to develop solutions that empower developers. DevOps engineers at Hiro are a blend of system and software engineers with a dual focus on empowering teams to create, test, deploy, and monitor high-velocity, high-quality services for hundreds of thousands of users (soon to be millions) and on streamlining operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

Enhance tooling and automation for software and service building, testing, and deployment

Work closely with engineering teams to launch new features and products

Advocate for and implement industry best practices to enhance the security and user-friendliness of our production environment

Identify and troubleshoot issues comprehensively, offering swift and effective solutions

Debug production problems across various services and stack layers

Enhance operational standards, tooling, and processes

Develop solutions to automate and streamline monitoring, incident escalation, improve resiliency, and maximize uptime

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years' experience in an SRE, DevOps, or equivalent role

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams across different time zones

Sense of ownership, humility, and proactiveness

Skill in problem-solving and quick decision-making

Proficiency in Bash scripting and ideally one additional language (such as Python, Go, or NodeJS)

Competent in container technologies like Docker or Containerd

Experience in deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting production services

Familiarity with service meshes like Istio/Envoy, Linkerd, and API gateways like Kong and Nginx

Skill in writing infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform or Pulumi

Experience with logging, tracing, metrics, and monitoring dashboard tools like Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus
