Responsibilities

  • Manage and streamline both structured and unstructured data, merging various data sources into a cohesive platform that fulfills business and technical requirements.
  • Proactively seek strategic, long-term solutions over quick fixes, prioritizing sustainable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with local and remote teams to define issues, devise action plans based on problem-solving principles and prior experiences, and address discrepancies between business demands and data architecture.
  • Uphold existing data standards, evaluating the need for enhancements based on local nuances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in data engineering or relevant roles.
  • Experience in Retail, e-Commerce, and CRM sectors is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SQL and expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with managing large datasets on cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Big Query, and Redshift.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Cognos, along with experience in relational DBMS and Python (MS SQL, PostgreSQL), is preferred.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
