Your Role:
As a vital part of the Security and Technology Risk Management team, you will contribute to the core functions of Circle by aiding in the day-to-day management and operation of the Technology Risk Management segment. Collaborating closely with first-line Technology divisions, the primary objective involves identifying, assessing, prioritizing, mitigating, and reporting on the inherent technology risks facing Circle. This function aligns with the broader Enterprise Risk Management Program, which is tasked with enhancing Circle's resilience by evaluating and preparing for both internal and external factors that could impact the organization's goals and objectives. Areas of focus include policy management, issue management, change management, risk assessment, resiliency, technology platform monitoring, overseeing third-party relationships, and engaging with various business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside Technology teams and the Chief Technology Officer in implementing Enterprise Risk Management programs to address issues, policy adherence, change protocols, risk assessment, and third-party risk management.
- Uphold effective challenge and oversight mechanisms for technology-related functions, identifying risks, formulating remedial strategies, and steering technological strategies within the program.
- Collaborate with first-line Technology to assess enterprise-level technology risk, offer guidance on risk profiles, and advocate for necessary risk controls.
- Utilize expert knowledge in various technical domains to anticipate and mitigate technology risks inherent in business operations.
- Lead risk evaluations, monitoring, and reporting while managing technology-specific issues and providing proactive risk identification, monitoring, remediation, and reporting.
- Ensuring cross-functional engagement by participating in risk-related discussions, interactions, and activities to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks early in the process.
- Consult and advise on risk calculations, mitigation measures, and alignment with corporate risk standards to enhance risk awareness and ensure compliance across all stakeholders.

Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in Technology and Security domains within financial services, payments, or technology companies.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and quantitative risk frameworks like FAIR.
- Understanding of blockchain technology and digital payments.
- Proven track record of fostering a risk-aware culture in a fast-growing tech or financial setting.
- Proficiency in tools like Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS, with a preference for Technology or Security certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Risk Management, or Business, coupled with Technology or Security certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISM).
Additional Details:
- Position eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
- Circle offers a transparent compensation structure based on relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and organizational needs.
- Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $170,000 annually, with an annual Bonus Target of 15%.
- Benefits include Equity, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), as well as discretionary vacation policy, Paid Sick Leave (10 days per year), and Paid Holidays (11 days per year in the U.S.).
