About The Team
The Token Research Team, situated in the Legal and Compliance Division, is tasked with conducting comprehensive research on technical, legal, and compliance issues related to various cryptocurrencies. With offices globally, including San Jose, California, and other regions across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, the team provides research support to OKX team members worldwide.
About The Opportunity
Joining the Legal and Compliance Division, your core responsibility will involve preparing detailed due diligence reports on different tokens for potential listing on our global exchange platforms. This role requires scrutinizing aspects such as Politically Exposed Persons checks, smart contract evaluations, decentralization levels, tokenomics assessments, wallet address surveys, and more. Your insights will guide the Legal, Risk, and Listing teams to enhance customer security.
As a pivotal member of the research team, this role offers the opportunity to influence the team's direction and future endeavors significantly.
What You'll Be Doing
Conducting thorough research to compile detailed due diligence reports for the Legal and Compliance Division.
Analyzing data from network sources, examining smart contracts, identifying vulnerabilities, and assessing token economics intricately.
Creating frameworks to monitor and anticipate changes in supported ecosystems, governance proposals, hardforks, node client upgrades, etc.
Independently handling research requests and advising senior management.
Acting as a knowledge hub within the organization, collaborating with teams to enhance oversight.
Providing advisory services to other departments on analytical, quantitative, and qualitative issues.
What We Look For In You
Strong academic background with a Bachelor's degree.
Prior experience in a similar role involving technical analysis, data science, or research.
Proficiency in digital assets, blockchain technology, smart contracts, governance models, and industry trends.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with clear communication capabilities.
Detail-oriented, diligent work ethic, ability to deliver high-quality work efficiently, and a passion for knowledge sharing.
Enthusiasm for conducting on-chain research.
Nice to Haves
Experience in developing smart contracts, web scraping, data extraction via APIs, UI development, and utilizing blockchain-specific data providers.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Solidity, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript.
