 OVERVIEW

 The Miner Technician I is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mining equipment, ensuring smooth operations while upholding safety standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing preventive maintenance procedures.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform regular inspections on mining equipment to detect and address potential problems.
  2. Conduct maintenance and repair tasks to maintain machinery in optimal working condition.
  3. Collaborate with mining engineers and team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  4. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during mining operations.
  5. Assist in the installation and configuration of new mining equipment.
  6. Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, making necessary adjustments as required.
  7. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  8. Engage in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the mining team.
  9. Operate various tools and machinery essential for maintenance tasks.
  10. Stay updated on advancements in mining technology and equipment for continuous enhancement.
  11. Be on-call during emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in mining technology is advantageous.
  • At least 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical work, or troubleshooting.
  • Proficient knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and related technologies.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to stand for 7 hours per day and lift/carry 30-50 lbs.
  • Willingness to strictly adhere to safety guidelines.
