Mining Operations Technician - Cheyenne, WY
Job Overview:
The role of Mining Operations Tech at CleanSpark is crucial to the bitcoin mining activities. Working collaboratively within a team that offers 24/7 coverage, this position provides operational support and assists the engineering and facilities units in their tasks.
Recent graduates and veterans are welcomed to apply for this role. Starting hourly wage ranges from $21.00 to $23.00.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Record and keep track of equipment shipments accurately, maintain inventory, update tracking systems, and handle tracking tickets.
- Assist with special projects related to setting up or reorganizing mining equipment.
- Conduct basic maintenance activities on mining rigs, including tasks like replacing fans and power supplies.
- Monitor data from mining pools and report significant changes.
- Recognize issues impacting the production environment.
- Safely escort authorized visitors around the premises for equipment-related work.
- Provide remote assistance via phone, covering tasks like troubleshooting and equipment reboots.
- Collaborate with the facilities team on building and electrical maintenance.
- Address HVAC or power concerns and contribute to issue resolution.
- Monitor temperatures and alert for sudden fluctuations in data centers or office spaces.
- Fulfill any other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience: While technical knowledge is beneficial, previous experience is not mandatory as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks, basic computer competencies.
