Overview
We are seeking a Product Design Manager to lead a team of designers in our Exchange division. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding the design direction for various products across web and mobile platforms. Your responsibilities will involve supporting product designers, collaborating with product managers, and fostering a conducive environment for your team to deliver top-notch designs.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of designers through collaboration, feedback, and providing design direction.
- Develop designs to steer product and feature directions, convey ideas, and offer additional support.
- Collaborate with different product managers handling various features within the Exchange to establish timelines, delivery schedules, and priorities.
- Offer guidance, mentorship, and support to your designers, ensuring a positive design environment for their professional growth.
- Define, uphold, and refine an effective design process for your team.
- Share your extensive design expertise and knowledge to train other designers.
- Conduct and facilitate user research activities such as 1:1 interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Work closely with the executive team to comprehend and implement the overarching vision and goals.
- Present and articulate design decisions, direction, and rationale to other teams.
- Actively engage with the exchange platform to identify and address any design or product issues within the team's awareness.
Requirements
- Over 2 years of experience working with a prominent trading team.
- Proficient trading skills are necessary.
- Exceptional design skills and a profound understanding of the craft with the ability to contribute significantly to the team.
- Extensive background in designing various B2C digital products/services for global audiences.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work for digital products and services.
- Thorough comprehension of user-centered design and user experience principles, coupled with a visionary approach in planning design roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
- Capability to oversee and manage multiple projects efficiently and deliver high-quality products at scale.
- Experience in mentoring and leading a design team.
- Seasoned leader with a robust creative vision, understanding of business objectives, and adept at executing ideas with the product design team.
