Protocol Product Manager
We are in search of a Product Manager to join our Protocol team at O(1) Labs.
O(1) Labs is known for launching Mina Protocol, a blockchain innovation of unprecedented size (22KB - equivalent to just a couple of tweets) that integrates cutting-edge recursive Snarks technology. The Mina Protocol showcases exceptional efficiency by addressing critical blockchain challenges such as privacy, scalability, and decentralization. The upcoming Berkeley hard fork will introduce programmable privacy to the blockchain ecosystem through zkApps powered by o1j.
The Protocol Product Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing strong partnerships with Mina Ecosystem collaborators
- Demonstrating effective project management abilities alongside essential Product Management skills
- Engaging with various customer segments including node operators, staking pool operators, and developers to create customer profiles and segments
- Conducting industry analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities
- Influencing the Mina Protocol Roadmap by offering insights derived from customers, industry standards, and technology landscapes
- Defining and monitoring key metrics
- Identifying and prioritizing areas for enhancement and specific opportunities for Mina Protocol, such as TPS improvement, node operator experience enhancement, block time optimization, among others
- Formulating comprehensive product requirements (PRDs)
- Collaborating with other o1Labs engineering teams, including sdk, crypto, and platform
- Demonstrating proficiency in PM tools like Github, Figma, Notion, or equivalent tools
Ideal candidates will possess:
- 1-3 years of prior experience in successfully managing products or services, ideally within a web3 organization
- Some level of comprehension regarding blockchain or distributed systems
- Strong technical acumen
- Proficient project management skills and a passion for organized and effective project completion
- Excellent communication capabilities
- Familiarity with technical concepts including APIs, GraphQL, blockchains, distributed systems, etc.
- Bonus points for experience with cryptography, zk, or proof systems

The base salary for this full-time position falls within the range of $143k to $180k in addition to equity and benefits. Salary figures are dependent on role and level. The range indicated on job postings reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensations in remote positions. Individual pay within this range is determined by various factors like role, level, and relevant skills and experience.
