Position Available: Lead Technical Artist - Japan

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and programmers to understand project artistic vision and requirements, implementing visual elements within technical constraints.
  • Implement Unity 3D scenes repetitively to deliver products and fulfill creative requirements.
  • Advocate for communication and asset pipeline between engineering and artist teams.
  • Engage in regular meetings, actively participating in discussions to foster strong collaboration among cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
  • Benchmark and optimize technical benchmarks for production, monitoring game performance.
  • Implement technical art features in collaboration with the programming team.
  • Support and collaborate with other programmers as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide technical support for the art team in daily production issues.
  • Share best practices and new tools with other artists and programmers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Unity3D game development.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Unity game engine.
  • 5+ years of experience leading artist or technical artist teams.
  • Knowledge of real-time 3D graphics pipeline optimization for mobile platforms.
  • Rich knowledge of shader development and rendering tailored to platform characteristics.
  • Proficiency in C# scripting in Unity environment.
  • Ability to handle stress appropriately, excellent problem-solving skills, and adaptability in unforeseen circumstances.
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Strong dedication and a mindset of tackling tasks with utmost commitment.
