Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Duties:
- Seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh.
- Responsibilities include focusing on electrical system design, simulation, and testing within low to high-voltage systems to support the company's goal of transforming grid distribution.
- Conducting the design, simulation, and testing of prototype systems to develop or enhance electrical products and systems.
- Utilizing engineering software and equipment for computer-aided design and various technical tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with construction, manufacturing, and installation standards.
- Performing technical feasibility studies for industrial, commercial, and residential applications in global markets.
- Managing Bills Of Material for designated projects, considering project timelines and costs.
- Offering technical support for quality assurance on ongoing projects and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Generating reports, developing technical drawings and schematics, and conducting presentations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated proficiency in engineering design software and equipment.
- Ability to design, implement, install, and maintain electrical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Solid background in rigorous engineering practices.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or ECAD, and a background working in laboratory or workshop environments.
- Familiarity with electrical skills and health and safety requirements.

- First-stage interview with the Hiring Manager (in-person or virtual).
- Second-stage competency-based interview with the Hiring Manager and wider team (in-person or virtual).
