Role Overview:

We seek an experienced senior security engineer to advance our cybersecurity practices. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in cloud security, secure software development lifecycle, CI/CD security, event detection and response, endpoint security, and incident response. This role directly reports to the VP of Information Security and collaborates closely with the DevOps team.

Responsibilities & Achievements:

  • Collaborate with skilled devops and engineering teams to establish best practices in infrastructure security, SDLC, and attack surface management.
  • Assist the VP of Information Security in enhancing a scalable incident response program, covering technologies, personnel, and processes.
  • Identify, deploy, optimize, and manage cloud security tools.
  • Drive the development, tuning, and testing of security alerts as well as incident response plans.
  • Oversee incident response activities, including on-call schedule management.
  • Review and supervise engineering and devops tasks, ensuring security compliance in changes and operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, capability-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for technical documentation and security standards creation.
  • Proficient in both developing and securing cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Hands-on experience in incident response processes with 5+ years in devops, devsecops, application security, or cloud security.
  • Familiarity with common security platforms and strong expertise in key AWS services.
  • Prior exposure to infrastructure-as-code, especially Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Desired knowledge in cryptography and blockchain technologies, along with security or AWS certifications.

For residents in CO, NY, CA, and WA, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - 185,000/year along with additional equity compensation and bonuses. Actual compensation may vary based on individual experience and location.
