YOUR ROLE AS A DATA ENGINEER AT 0X

As a Data Engineer with 0x, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the organization's culture and methodologies. Thriving in uncertain environments, you excel in formulating innovative solutions and concepts. Your drive to propel both 0x and the wider Ethereum community through data is exceptional. Serving as the key guardian for organizational data, you are committed to upholding high data standards and are proactive in enhancing data hygiene. Your ability to analyze vast datasets to support product decisions and company strategy is unmatched, and you communicate these findings effectively both internally and externally. Working with cutting-edge tech and resolving challenges without set guidelines inspire you. The data engineering team's primary responsibility is maintaining and upgrading tools that extract blockchain data, presenting it to internal and external teams. Collaborating with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineers, you will bridge business requirements, translating them into valuable recommendations and strategies. An ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about constructing solutions from scratch in a fast-paced setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in conjunction with Data Team, Product Managers, and Engineers to enhance data accessibility for informed decision-making.
• Devise and manage scalable ETL pipelines catering to real-time and batch data processing needs.
• Contribute to the evolution of 0x Data APIs, focusing on scalability and security protocols.
• Establish and maintain data observability standards.
• Make meaningful contributions to both the 0x and broader Ethereum communities.
• Cultivate an innovation-centric culture by exploring new technologies and methodologies in data engineering and blockchain.
• Identify and execute process enhancements and automation to improve data management and analytical efficiency.
• Mentor team members to foster professional growth and a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrate experience in developing data-centric APIs for both internal and external users.

• Possess over 5 years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
• Exhibit a minimum of 1 year working with Ethereum.
• Proven experience in crafting and maintaining resilient data pipelines.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or related data pub/sub systems.
• Proficient in Data Modeling and Architecture.
• Solid programming foundation, preferably in Python, TypeScript, Node, or Go.

• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in examining, cleaning, and generating reports using blockchain data.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow.

• Knowledge of deploying projects via Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS, as well As Clickhouse or other Analytical Database/Platform.
