Responsibilities:

As a Staff Software Engineer at Circle, you will contribute to the evolution of our proprietary blockchain systems infrastructure to support global tokenization. Your tasks will include analyzing system requirements and processes to enhance existing systems, developing robust microservices for secure and scalable APIs facilitating seamless value transfers across varied blockchain and traditional banking protocols. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to conceptualize, test, and refine Circle features, in addition to documenting system design, testing procedures, and maintaining quality standards. Troubleshooting malfunctioning programs/systems, building accessible APIs for seamless integration with complex payment systems, interfacing with leading financial institutions, and ensuring alignment with management on system principles are among your key responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To excel at Circle, you should possess a minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience utilizing object-oriented languages such as Go or Java. A background in Computer Science or a related field, technical leadership experience in architecture and system design, and expertise in API design, payments processing, or blockchains are also essential. Your proficiency should extend to software architecture, scalable deployments, Web3 and blockchain technologies, RESTful API design, cloud services, container orchestration systems, SQL databases, as well as strong coding standards, and test coverage practices. Effective communication, ability to work with remote teams, and a proactive, self-driven attitude that thrives in a dynamic, iterative environment are key attributes we seek in candidates.

Additional Details:

This role is open to candidates eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship. Compensation is determined by various factors, offering a base pay range of $172,500 - $227,500 plus a 15% annual bonus target. Comprehensive benefits including equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), a discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays annually for U.S. employees are included.
