BitGo is in pursuit of a Staff Software Engineer to join the HeightZero team. The position offers a hybrid work model, with three days in the NYC office and the flexibility to work remotely on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and robust APIs, libraries, and services for integrating blockchain and BitGo functionality into HeightZero products.
• Take ownership of feature functionality and scalability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Construct integration libraries and SDKs to communicate with server APIs.
• Document and expose functionalities to user interfaces and third-party developers.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and product managers to ensure coherence in technical requirements understanding.
• Mentor peers within the engineering team through code reviews and sharing best practices.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Minimum 8 years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JS.
• Experience in unit testing, functional testing, and debugging.
• Proficiency in developing simple and extensible abstractions for complex systems.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, branching methodologies, and CI tools.
• Skilled in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis, including database design and implementation.

Preferred:

• Background in the blockchain or security sector.
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS Amplify, ELB, and EC2.
• Experience in building scalable distributed systems.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Compensation for this role typically ranges between $185,000 - $235,000 USD base salary, alongside equity, an annual performance bonus, and additional benefits.
