SUMMARY
The Miner Technician I role involves maintaining and repairing mining equipment while ensuring operational efficiency in accordance with safety standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and implementing preventive maintenance procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct routine inspections on mining equipment to detect and address potential issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to maintain optimal machinery functionality.
- Collaborate with mining engineers and team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during mining operations.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new mining equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, making necessary adjustments.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
- Participate in safety training programs and foster a safety-focused culture within the mining team.
- Operate various tools and machinery required for maintenance tasks.
- Stay updated on advancements in mining technology and equipment for continuous improvement.
- Be on-call during emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in mining technology is beneficial.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical work, and/or troubleshooting.
- Preferred candidates will have some experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical work, and/or troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and associated technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Capable of standing for 7 hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry 30-50 lbs.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines.
