LaborX Mainnet Release

LaborX Mainnet Release

We are very pleased to announce that LaborX has now been released on the open Ethereum mainnet!

The first version of LaborX is live on mainnet! This release sees our Contract module implemented on the public Ethereum network, enabling users to take advantage of all the benefits of the blockchain technology — including outstanding security, transparency, and rapid transactions!

Moreover, LaborX’s Contract module offers an extremely competitive commission rate of just 1%, while major competitors charge anything from 5% to 20%.

Key features

Our Contract module is packed with useful features:

  • Multiple tasks per job. Jobs can be divided into a series of smaller tasks. This makes it easier to manage larger jobs, track progress and organise payment fairly.
  • Task review. When a task has been completed, the client can choose to accept it, reject it, or send it back to be redone.
  • Flexible Payment options. Service providers can be paid upon completion of each task, or when the whole job is finished. Upfront payments are also available.

  • Contract Termination. Contracts can be canceled or marked complete at any time, so long as both parties agree to do so.

Smart Dispute System

As in any field of work or an online employment system, we expect disagreements to occur from time to time. LaborX features a built-in contract dispute resolution system that is designed to provide mediation and a fair decision when such a disagreement arises. The issue is resolved by the LaborX dispute system, using the contract data recorded on the blockchain. This ensures the decision is based on accurate information since this data cannot be modified.

Additional features

The Contract module also includes other useful features for Clients and Service Providers such as:

  • Time Tracking.
  • Activity log (all contract actions are recorded to provide full transparency).
  • Ability to create a contract with users who are not yet registered on LaborX.

The aim in developing LaborX was to provide users with features that would make the whole process of organising and managing work easier and more secure. With this in mind, the system also includes:

  • Built-in chat functionality
  • Multiple login options (email, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Detailed user profile (personal information, portfolio, work experience)

  • 2FA and secure cloud wallets

The first step

Launching our Contract module on the Ethereum mainnet is just the first step for LaborX. We will continue to develop the platform, building out functionality to make finding, organising and getting paid for work easier than ever before. This will include major new modules, including a labour marketplace and reputation system, to smaller improvements, such as adding more cryptocurrency options, and support for hardware wallets and MetaMask.
