About The Role
The Staff Backend Engineer role at Notabene entails driving the development of secure and efficient global crypto transaction processing solutions within the transactions team. As a key enabler of the Notabene Platform, you will architect and maintain core transaction-processing services, enhancing scalability and performance to cater to evolving market demands.
In this position, you will lead in defining technical strategies, guiding team members, and optimizing architecture to meet dynamic market requirements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and managing high-throughput microservices for the Transactions team to bolster Notabene’s transaction authorization platform
Collaborating with diverse teams to gather requirements, align on technical feasibilities, and prioritize projects for customer value maximization
Driving the transaction team’s roadmap alignment with business goals and strategic objectives
Leading comprehensive technical projects lifecycle from inception to deployment, focusing on scalability and performance improvements
Providing mentorship and support to engineers across the Notabene engineering division
What you bring to Notabene
8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in senior or staff-level backend engineering roles, showcasing a track record in building distributed systems
Proficiency in backend languages enabling the writing of clean, efficient code, with additional experience in Rust or Go languages considered favorable
Expertise in cryptography, public/private key encryption/signing, with a preference for knowledge in decentralized identity technologies
Extensive background with PostgreSQL and SQL optimization, accompanied by hands-on experience in event-driven microservices development
Familiarity with AWS service deployment, container orchestration, and best practices in secure data handling
Problem-solving capabilities, keen attention to detail, and self-sufficiency within a global, remote-first work environment
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across different teams and departments
