We are currently seeking a top-tier back-end Software Engineer to join our London-based Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and testing backend components and contributing to the development of the Data Platform while collaborating closely with other teams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance the trading platform for low latency/high frequency performance.
Create new services to support product and business requirements using Golang.
Build features facilitating customer collaboration in asset management.
Work with cross-functional teams to align product and technical vision with the quarterly roadmap.
Write efficient, stable, and secure code that is testable and reusable.
Monitor and support production system components like trading algorithms, analytics, and market data.
Qualifications / Knowledge
Essential experience in Financial Services (Buy or Sell-Side).
Proficiency in backend technologies like Go, C#, or Java.
Familiarity with React, Typescript, Javascript, and Postgresql.
Solid understanding of cloud functions (e.g., App Engine/Big Query) and data structuring for performance optimization.
Knowledge of deployment technologies and concepts, issue management, and code versioning.
Strong communication, collaboration, and object-oriented design skills.
Experience with Serverless Architecture and cloud platforms like GCP/AWS.
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a related technical discipline.
Nice to have
Experience with:
Deploying software on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Designing client-facing APIs and building low latency systems.
Performance testing distributed systems and Docker for containerization.
Caching technologies such as Redis, Memcached, and messaging/streaming technologies like Kafka.
