Responsibilities:

Defining system subsystem and component requirements validation and management

Analyzing functional and non-functional requirements

Creating and managing system integration and verification plans

Integrating systems, including COTS equipment with custom hardware

Performing lab-based system testing against simulations and hardware devices

Collaborating with team members on system design and managing technical design alterations

Engaging with clients, partner companies, and institutions

Developing model representations of systems, including requirements, functional, plant, and control models within a digital twin platform

Devising strategies for optimizing verification, validation, and trials activities through modeling

Conducting model verification activities using real-world data

Requirements:

STEM degree (BEng/MEng)

Proficiency in modeling tools like SysML, OPM, MATLAB

Experience in managing system architectural models and analyzing system performance

Familiarity with requirement flow-down and traceability management

Hands-on experience with requirement management tools such as IBM Doors and Windchill RV&S

Competence in planning, developing, and managing verification activities

Understanding of MBSE principles and tools

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification

Utilize simulations such as finite element analysis to forecast insulation behavior under various conditions and enhance designs.

Oversee projects from initiation to conclusion including budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with other engineering groups.

Produce technical documentation, reports, and manuals detailing designs, test findings, and maintenance procedures.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, material scientists, and manufacturers, to ensure coherent and effective designs.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in high voltage insulation, dielectric physics, or a related field.

Master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, HV engineering, or a related discipline.

Proficiency in designing and developing insulation for HV equipment within a manufacturing setting.

Thorough knowledge of polymers or ceramics, their properties, and processing methods concerning electrical insulation.

Familiarity with industry testing methods, protocols, and metrics for validating insulation materials and designs.

Strong project planning, execution, and management skills.

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with well-established experimental research abilities.

Effective communication skills, task ownership, and analytical capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
