As a Finance team leader at our organization, your primary role will involve spearheading the development, maintenance, and support of cloud optimization practices within our cloud infrastructure and service platforms. Key Responsibilities
Lead the FinOps function, overseeing team members' activities and performance.
Provide insights and make recommendations regarding reserved capacity strategies, optimization opportunities, and cost-saving architectural recommendations.
Develop the cloud infrastructure FinOps plan and roadmap.
Collaborate with Business, Technical, and Finance leaders to establish and drive best practices in FinOps.
Conduct a detailed examination of all cloud infrastructure invoice line items.
Support teams in meeting financial objectives, identifying underutilized resources, and proposing cost-saving measures.
Generate business intelligence reports to inform various teams.
Contribute to architectural designs and decisions.
Participate actively in the annual budgeting process to ensure accurate allocation of cloud infrastructure expenditure.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Preferably experienced with Apptio or similar cost allocation tools.
Familiarity with Cloudability or similar public cloud cost monitoring tools is preferred.
Background in cloud data platforms such as Databricks is advantageous.
Proficient in negotiating long-term commitments and contracts.
Broad understanding of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and third-party software platforms.
