Project goal: Design an app that simplify the whole online freelance platform by having only one type of user. A user. A user can be both a freelancer and someone who is looking for freelance services. Solution: The client is inspired by how current e-commerce website works (eBay, Amazon, Alibaba, etc.). Therapute is a bridge to those who are experiencing mental health problems and to professionals who are willing to help them. The client has a wide connection of several mental health professionals ranging from counselors, life coaches, therapists and psychiatrists. This serves as a foundation of creating an app that is easy to access using simple features. This is an important thought process while designing this app. To design an app with empathy at its core. Hostelz is an existing web application that compares all hostels price across the web. The client wanted a redesign of the whole look and feel of the project. A modernized platform that is efficient but can be fun to use at the same time. I took a lot of inspiration from leading competitors such as Airbnb, Booking.com, HostelWorld, and such. Bringing all the cool features that I think would work best with the client's goals and vision. This is a product of working closely with the client, balancing aesthetics and functionality and keeping the users as the center foundation of the whole product experience.
