I hired Ray to build a Solana smart contract for Raydium liquidity-pool management plus a Node.js liquidation service. Unfortunately, the project fell short in several critical areas: Missed deadlines: We agreed on a one-week timeline including Devnet tests and Mainnet deployment. The scope was repeatedly extended, yet the core functionality still isn’t working on Devnet. Incomplete on-chain code: The contract never properly wires in the required Raydium CPI accounts (AMM program, authority, open orders, token vaults, LP mint), so every Devnet transaction fails with DeclaredProgramIdMismatch or InvalidProgramForExecution. The essential liquidate_loan instruction is also missing. Failed Devnet tests: Despite multiple attempts and shared transaction signatures, none of the flows (create/remove liquidity, fee updates, negative cases) actually succeeded on Devnet, so there’s no proof the code can run in a real environment. Mainnet deployment refusal: Ray insisted I deploy to Mainnet immediately—despite the risk of burning ~2 SOL per failed run—instead of completing Devnet validation first, contrary to our original spec. Dispute & partial refund: After weeks of back-and-forth and failed tests, I had to escalate and was only refunded half of what I paid. Overall, the deliverables were not met and I cannot recommend working with Ray Smith for complex DeFi projects requiring solid on-chain CPI integration and reliable testing.
