My first ever game was CS 1.3. It was introduced by my cousin when I was still 6 years old and instantly fell in love with it. I’ve started playing competitively at 8 years old and eventually won my first tournament out of 16 teams in Leyte. On that time, Internet cafés started to open one by one. Also, more games have released like Diablo, Starcraft and more to mention. My mom always leaves me in the café whenever she goes shopping. I just keep on playing games to the point that I can’t already balance my time on my studies. I was really addicted on playing computer games even though there were no more tournaments on CS 1.3 but DOTA showed up. DOTA just literally gave me more opportunities to compete. The objectives and complexity on this game blows out my mind that time. Highschool were dark days to me since I almost drop out just to compete under the banner of WebAsia Internet Café not just locally but nationally. We’ve already managed to dominate in Leyte but failed to qualify at MPGL (Mineski Pro Gaming League). Sadly, have to quit after to pursue my career. But during my college days, there were many FPS games have release like Special Force 1, Point Blank, Assault Fire and CS:GO. And because of that, I was back on track on playing competitively. It made me realize that I’m not just playing games to enjoy but to get recognition as well that I’m the best on these games. It brought importance on my life that it’s my passion to play competitively because it would require you to focus and be attentive to small details together with your teammates in order to achieve our goal which is to win. And with my experience, I’ve learned that losing and winning will eventually happen. But if you ever going to lose, it’s up to you on how you will come back and prepare to win again.
