looking for a part-time accountant to help with bookkeeping and prepare quarterly financials. The hours are flexible, but a maximum of 20 hours/month. ASF is primarily remote, but meets in NC twice a month. Applicants may be entirely remote for this position, but if they could attend in-person meetings, that would be preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in Quickbooks
Perform monthly receipt reconciliations and process reimbursements
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
Prepare materials for annual audit
Process and prepare accounts payable, accounts receivable, send invoices, process invoices for payment
Work with Canadian bookkeeper to reconcile accounts
Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Conduct general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare and file regulatory reports in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Experience:
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
