As a Solo Station Supervisor, my role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station and convenience store. My duties included managing fuel levels, maintaining the car wash and dog wash services, and overseeing the retail store inventory to guarantee that customers had access to a wide variety of snacks, drinks, and other essential items. In addition to operational management, I was also responsible for handling all financial transactions at the station. This included processing cash debit and credit card payments, managing the daily cash flow, and documenting every financial transactions. I was tasked with inputting daily profits into the computer system to ensure accurate record-keeping and financial reporting. This role required a high level of trust, as I was entrusted with significant financial responsibilities.

Working as a Cashier and Customer Service representative at Walmart provided me with a unique perspective on the retail industry. Interacting with a range of customers taught me patience and effective communication. I learned to de-escalate situations and find solutions that satisfied both customers and store policies, honing skills in active listening and empathy. My experience gave me a comprehensive understanding of store operations, from customer service and security to things like money or inventory management. This insight was invaluable for me and allowed me to compare their policies with other companies I’ve worked at. I identified areas where Walmart excelled and where it could learn from its employees, suggesting improvements to enhance operations customer service. My role at Walmart provided a deep understanding of the retail industry, instrumental in my professional development contributions to other stores in the future.

As a Customer Service Representative, Front-End Manager, and Facilitator at Giant, I was responsible for operating and troubleshooting various technology including self-checkout registers, the service desk, and the online coupon apps. I developed training materials to teach customers and employees how to use these new technologies, ensuring a smooth efficient experience. My strong focus on customer service allowed me to provide friendly and informative assistance, while my leadership skills enabled me to create and implement new policies and procedures that improved overall store operations. I was skilled in communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner, both to customers and corporate teams. I was able to collaborate effectively to help develop implement new policies and procedures. Additionally, I facilitated Giant Direct orders, ensuring seamless online transactions using the facilitator computer and actively coordinating with customers on the phone and the app.

I originally started working at Pet Palace to change the lives of dogs stuck in cages all day. My passion for improving their well-being led me to help management use technology to more effectively document each dog's information and details. I created a simple chart system outside each dog's cage, allowing for easy access to essential information improving overall care efficiency. I spent a vast amount of time taking care of dogs cats and cleaning up after them. Currently, I volunteer at Pet Palace, focusing on training dogs to perform tricks basic commands. My goal is to enhance their adoptability overall quality of life. Additionally, I work with dogs to help them get used to large men like myself, especially if they might have been scared or abused by men in the past. This aspect of my volunteering aims to build trust confidence in these dogs, ensuring they have a better chance at finding loving homes.

As a teacher at Music Arts, I developed exceptional communication skills to help my students reach their goals and ensure they returned each week. I tailored my teaching methods to each student's unique learning style, fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. By maintaining open communication with parents, I provided regular updates on their child’s progress and discussed strategies to enhance practice at home. This included setting achievable goals, creating structured practice schedules, offering tips to make practice sessions engaging, ensuring students received support outside of lessons for better success. I have taught 3 students who scored fives on their AP exams in High School and are now going to College for Music. My experience with a wide range of students, from young beginners to the older, more advanced adults, allows me to adapt my teaching techniques to suit different levels of understanding to ensure each student meets their goals.

In my role as a Mental Health Technician at Thorwald Nursing Home, I played a big part in enhancing the daily lives of residents by integrating modern technology into their routines. I assisted residents in setting up streaming services on their TVs, ensuring they had access to a wide range of entertaining and educational content. Additionally, I helped them create social media accounts to stay connected with family and friends, reducing feelings of isolation. I also guided residents in installing and using games or educational apps on their phones, promoting cognitive engagement providing enjoyable activities. Through these efforts, I believe I significantly improved residents' quality of life, enabling them to make the most of their time spent in wheelchairs and hospital beds fostering a more engaging, interactive, and supportive community.

As a Front End Lead and Self-Checkout Supervisor at Kroger, I tackled a significant shoplifting issue due to poor policies and employee misunderstandings of the self-checkout register software. I did the research on our Toshiba self-checkout software and hardware and created a clear, concise manual for employees. This manual covered all of the machine’s aspects, enabling staff to operate them effectively and prevent potential shoplifting. I developed and implemented strategies to prevent shoplifting, inspired by best practices from other stores. These included monitoring high-risk items, managing customer flow, and training staff to effectively confront and communicate with potential shoplifters. My proactive approach significantly reduced shoplifting incidents, enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of the self-checkout area. Before I left Kroger, I helped lay the groundwork for Kroger's AI implementation, suggesting ways AI could monitor store activities in real-time.

As a Youth Services Specialist at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, I engage with younger school age kids to foster their growth, learning, and well-being. I teach kids how to use ChatGPT and other AI tools, helping them leverage technology for academic and personal projects. I guide them in maintaining healthy social media accounts and phone relationships, promoting balanced digital habits. I assist with homework by providing expert support or helping them find answers independently. I also teach chess and card games to develop strategic thinking and social interaction. When other activities aren't engaging, I facilitate playing video games on our Nintendo Switches, ensuring a fun and interactive library experience. Through these activities, I create a supportive and enriching environment for youth.

As the leader of Luke and Friends, a dynamic Consultation Group and Think Tank, I oversee a team of professionals who offer a range of specialized services. Our expertise spans Web, Mobile, and Software Development, Editing, Creative and Content Writing, User Experience Design, Copywriting, Landing Pages, Proofreading, and English Language Services. My role involves creating or coordinating the creation of these diverse services, ensuring quality, and delivering tailored solutions to meet our clients' needs.

As a dedicated member of The H.E.L.P.P. Ministry, I am part of an innovative and compassionate community focused on nurturing peaceful and productive living for all. Our mission is to empower individuals through modern technology and informal education, drawing inspiration from successful cities and counties to enrich communities through education and employment. By equipping individuals with the skills needed to start businesses or join large-scale enterprises, we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change, where educated and employed individuals contribute to the betterment of their communities. In practical terms, I help train and educate members of the AA/NA community, individuals in rehabilitation programs, prisoners, people with records, immigrants, as well as High School or College Graduates or drop-outs. The H.E.L.P.P. Ministry encourages people in other cities to adopt our name and replicate our efforts in their own communities. We are actively seeking new members.

During my college years, which coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed strong skills in online learning and virtual collaboration. I effectively coordinated group projects and enhanced my ability to manage tasks independently in a remote environment. This experience honed my technical proficiency, troubleshooting capabilities, and adaptability to new software. Additionally, I developed excellent written and verbal communication skills through frequent online interactions, making me well-prepared for remote technology and customer service roles where effective communication and digital proficiency are paramount.
