Double-edged Learning

After almost two years of full-distance learning, we are required to have face-to-face or hybrid learning class. We are finally back in the seminary formation, but it is not like our previous learning since it changed quite a lot in just two years. Before, using gadgets in the seminary formation was a Sunday privilege, but today we can use our gadgets during class hours, recreation time, and study periods.

Learning has a lot of challenges, but we must be committed to our studies if we want to succeed. Hybrid learning method is a big help in our studies. However, some seminarians struggle with time management and late submission . They seem to have forgotten their duties. They misuse the privilege of having gadgets while in the formation. Even during class hours, seminarians use their devices to play online games and watch movies. Some seminarians do not complete the activities inside the classroom because of online distractions. They just come to the room when it is time for class and leave immediately after class hours without doing any activities. It is unfair to other seminarians.

On the other hand, I noticed that some seminarians are still responsible in their studies. I can see seminarians in the classroom doing their work well. Also, some seminarians are in the library reading books and researching. It is good to see that there are seminarians committed to their studies. Even though it may seem like there are distractions around them, they cannot afford to waste time with activities that would only distract them.

We know the difference between online and offline activities, so we should set goals for each task, including free time, so that we can always focus on what needs to be done. The two learning methods will help us improve our time management skills. We must maintain our discipline during break time; it will help us organize our time and not waste it on unimportant things.
