Connecting software to industrial hardware? I build Modbus TCP/RTU integrations and protocol gateways in Rust — the kind of work most web developers cannot do.
WHAT I BUILD
- Modbus TCP/RTU master (client): poll registers from PLCs and sensors
- Modbus slave (server): expose your data as Modbus registers
- TCP-to-RTU gateways and protocol bridges
- Polling engines with scheduling, retries, and error recovery
- Bridging Modbus data to MQTT / HTTP / databases
WHY ME
I wrote a complete Modbus protocol stack from scratch in Rust: async I/O, connection pooling, RS-485 bus scheduling, gateway bridging, C FFI — cross-validated against pymodbus and libmodbus, soak-tested under sustained load with zero errors. This is not library-glue code; I understand the protocol at the byte level.
WHAT YOU GET
- Working, tested integration code with source
- Wiring and configuration guide (which registers, baud rates, framing)
- Test evidence: validated against reference implementations
- Documentation your team can maintain
