Role Responsibilities:

  • Identify primary technology, cyber, and data risks at both a company-wide and local level considering individual strategies and business atmospheres.
  • Assist in shaping the yearly audit plan by analyzing the identified key risks.
  • Create the annual audit plan and schedules for Central and Regional units.
  • Develop, lead, and execute audits, assessing the effectiveness of risk management and control measures related to technology and cyber risks following established timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal auditors and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to evaluate and maintain the IT audit universe, offering training, resources, and assistance to non-subject matter experts.
  • Offer subject matter expertise (SME) support to the wider team on issues concerning technology and cyber risks.
  • Stay abreast of emerging risks and best practices related to risk management.
  • Enhance internal audit capabilities continuously and provide valuable insights to key stakeholders.
  • Promote technology advisory services to other business units to enhance the relevance of internal audits.
  • Effectively plan and allocate resources to meet objectives, adjusting IT audit plans as needed to align with evolving controls, risk positions, and business priorities.
  • Cultivate strong audit relationships with essential IT Management figures at the Central office and Business Units (BUs) through regular communication, updating them on emerging risk factors and significant change controls affecting core business operations.
  • Draft audit reports and lead discussions on issues and remedial action plans with relevant management levels.
  • Facilitate the issuance of audit reports to management.

Role Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in technology auditing.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in auditing IT elements, including governance, risk management, system security, and cybersecurity, preferably in financial services, payment institutions, or regulatory bodies.
  • Exposure to digital forensics or investigations is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the First or Second Line of Defense IT operations, information security, operational risk functions, payment systems, or international transactions is beneficial.
  • Strong comprehension of software development, system architecture, information security, as well as cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of risk-based auditing and risk management frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, COBIT, COSO, SOC2, and PCI-DSS.
  • Ability to implement analytics, process automation, and develop data-centered internal audit strategies.
  • Confidence in reviewing code (Python, Java, SQL, etc.) and devising data analytics solutions is highly beneficial.
  • Capacity to engage effectively with senior stakeholders such as Principal Engineers, Department Heads, CISO, and CTO.
  • Adaptable to a dynamic business setting and skilled in managing shifting priorities efficiently.
  • Preferred possession of relevant professional certifications or industry accreditations such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIA, AWS, or GCP.
  • Ideally degree-qualified in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
