Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify potential money laundering and other risks associated with customer activities.
- Assess customer profiles and behavior to determine the need for further investigation.
- Investigate on-chain and off-chain transaction monitoring alerts.
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools such as Elliptic, Chainalysis, and TRM to perform transaction screening.
- Monitor and document any unusual activities or potential signs of money laundering.
- Foster strong relationships with various departments, including legal, customer service, operations, and marketing, to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in internal and external training programs focused on AML/CFT and other related subjects.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed, in line with the company's business requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of experience in AML/CTF transaction monitoring, preferably in a financial institution or cryptocurrency company.
- Basic knowledge of blockchain monitoring and analytics tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, and TRM.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a background in compliance functions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguous situations.
- Proactive and self-directed, showing initiative, dedication, and creativity to achieve goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing value-add service to business customers.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and exercise sound business judgment.
- Fluent in English, additional language proficiency is a plus.
