The Role:

We are seeking a Head of Product Design to spearhead design strategy and vision, coupled with Product Management responsibilities. In this key position, you will shape the design vision and product execution, set high UX standards, and refine product development processes across all user-facing products.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Lead or Head of Product Design looking to expand their scope into Product Management tasks. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage a Senior Designer, collaborate with a team of Product Engineers, and engage with Marketing and Business Development stakeholders to enhance UI/UX design, streamline product delivery, and optimize engineering focus on core priorities.

Responsibilities:

Define design strategy and vision aligned with business goals and user needs, overseeing high-fidelity design creation, wireframing, prototyping, and animation.

Establish and reinforce UX standards, audit existing designs, enhance usability, and ensure consistency across user interfaces and touchpoints.

Manage design resources, engage external consultancies, and source freelancers, while driving product management frameworks, roadmap planning, and stakeholder communication.

Implement project management infrastructure, track milestones, and employ tools like Linear and Notion for resource allocation and Gantt chart creation.

Foster a user-centric culture through research, usability testing, and data-driven design iterations based on feedback from users and stakeholders.

Lead and mentor the design team to enhance skills, delegate tasks effectively, and instill an autonomous design function.

Requirements:

Strong leadership in design strategy, project management, and hands-on design, with proficiency in Adobe, Sketch, Figma, and other relevant design tools.

Extensive experience in user research, A/B testing, and familiarity with modern design systems and Web3/Crypto capabilities.

Proven ability to hire, mentor, and scale design teams, driving strategic design functions with a user-centric approach.

Sound understanding of crypto user behavior, DeFi interfaces, wallet integrations, and blockchain design considerations.

The Role

As an Execution Trader at Ethena's trading team, you will play a key role in managing the operations, trading, and positioning of the backing assets for USDe. This includes handling collateral movement between custodians, operating an automated execution platform, and engaging with internal stakeholders. This position requires flexibility and trust, as events in the 24/7 marketplace demand rapid responses. The outcomes of your team's execution practices are vital in driving the success of Ethena's products.

Responsibilities:

Engage in Portfolio Management tasks to oversee USDe’s backing assets, such as spot digital assets, derivatives positions, and placements in DeFi money markets.

Execute trades efficiently using proprietary algorithms while adhering to strict risk parameters and market conditions.

Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless trading coverage, particularly during your local working hours (US or Asia), and as needed outside regular hours at the direction of the Head of Trading.

Contribute to the development and prioritization of features requested by the engineering team to enhance existing tools.

Monitor real-time market risks (liquidity, volatility, counterparty risks) and adjust positions to minimize exposure.

Provide regular updates to the Head Trader on portfolio performance, trade outcomes, and market conditions.

Requirements:

Experience as a senior trader or higher in electronic or quantitative trading.

Proven track record in cryptocurrency markets, with proficiency in trading perpetual contracts and spot trading using various crypto exchanges.

Proficient in Python for data analysis, trade evaluation, or backtesting purposes.

The Role

As the Head of Security, your role will involve leading and owning the comprehensive security strategy for Ethena. You will be responsible for all security aspects, ensuring the safeguarding of assets, infrastructure, data, personnel, and facilities. This includes cybersecurity, blockchain security, physical security, and operational security.

This pivotal role offers the opportunity to instill a security-first culture in a dynamic, high-stakes environment where DeFi innovations intersect with real-world risks. You will collaborate closely with various teams, such as Product Engineering, DeFi Engineering, Security Engineering, DevOps, and non-engineering teams, to embed security across all operations, from smart contract development to physical site protection. What You'll Do

Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy covering cybersecurity, blockchain security, physical security, and operational security in alignment with industry standards and DeFi-specific risks.

Oversee blockchain and smart contract security, including audits, formal verification, secure key management, and protections against exploits.

Establish a robust cybersecurity framework encompassing threat detection systems, secure DevOps practices, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.

Manage physical security operations, including access controls, surveillance, executive protection programs, and site audits.

What We're Looking For

Over 10 years of experience in security leadership roles with expertise in cybersecurity, physical security, and risk management.

Demonstrated track record in developing and implementing security strategies, including blockchain/DeFi security and physical protections.

Strong leadership skills, experience building high-performing teams, and oversight of engineers.

Expertise in incident response, crisis management, threat intelligence, and compliance frameworks.

Proficiency in secure software development, infrastructure security, and relevant tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Strategic thinking, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.

Experience in budget and vendor management for security operations.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.

Job Description:

Who We Are:

Ethena Labs is a company working on developing an Ethereum-based yield-bearing synthetic dollar. Our team consists of experienced professionals from both traditional finance and crypto engineering backgrounds, with affiliations to respected companies such as Cerberus, Wintermute, Flow Traders, Deribit, Paradigm, Aave, Blockdaemon, and Kaiko. We have secured support from major exchanges and trading entities within the industry.

What We are Doing:

Our main objective is to build derivative infrastructure to enable Ethereum to transition into the Internet Bond. This will be achieved through the creation of delta-neutral derivatives positions, resulting in the establishment of the first crypto-native, yield-bearing synthetic dollar: sUSDe.

We strongly believe that developing a synthetic dollar which does not rely on existing banking infrastructure is the most crucial problem to solve and the greatest opportunity in the crypto field today.

USDe will be the first component of a larger product ecosystem we are constructing. This ecosystem will include fixed and floating rate internet bonds, as well as composable repo leveraged markets.
