This is the website that kinda kickstarted my web design passion — I made it to promote my apartment, so I could find a person who would like to get it. Basically, I was renting out. I used a minimalistic and simplified approach to create a website and decided to use Carrd.co to build a website — the tool is really easy and was suited for the project. The website is built with mobile-first in mind, so the layout is vertical, images are big, all the text is clearly visible. Also, I made a website the way I could crop the screenshots, compile them and upload them to WeChat (I lived in China, so it was a no-brainer).

I’ve built a website for a fictional company called “Hayes Valley Interior Design”. Used just magic. And Webflow. Mostly, the latter. This is a fully responsive CMS-driven website that showcases the company’s process, team, and portfolio. Also, has a contact form that sends submission directly to the Webflow dashboard. That being said, I changed the logo to another one to avoid fictional copyright laws. Even in a fictional world, one must obey the law! Jokes aside, building this website was a part of “The Freelancer’s Journey” course made by Webflow University. So, basically, this is my first Webflow website.

geor.gy is my personal website that showcases my projects, tells a thing or two about me, expresses my vision, and just has lots of interesting interactions. The website is still an ongoing project: I’m going to create a fully CMS-driven blog made entirely on Webflow, an audio player with a “radio station” alike page, a language switcher with good SEO, dark mode, and much more. This website was almost completely redesigned once, so the final build differs quite a bit from the original mockup. I used Figma to design the website, Webflow to develop it, plus various custom code snippets to add functionality I wanted to implement. Basin and Mailchimp are being used for contact and newsletter forms, respectively.

I’ve been working with the team behind an awesome Google Chrome extension called “MAL-Sync”. The extension enhances anime & manga fans' experiences by a great amount: it can track their watching/reading progress by managing entries in MyAnimeList and other tracking websites. Also, it adds new functionality to video players and manga readers such as a hotkey to skip anime openings/endings. MAL-Sync aims to become a standalone PWA (progressive web app) that can give all the information its users need regarding anime and manga. I contacted the team to become a member responsible for the design side of things. Currently, I’m redesigning their extension and help them with the UI/UX/copy, and some other stuff. Later on, we will collaborate to create a new website to promote the new version of MAL-Sync and widen its audience. Also, I translated the extension into the Russian language. Not gonna lie, I do hope that this project will be widely successful and help many anime fans to enjoy their favorite medium in new ways!
