Anthony Caulkins is an experienced composer, performer, and music technologist based in the Los Angeles area. His work in composition spans multiple contexts - from chamber, to orchestral, to film. As a performer Anthony is also versatile and works professionally as a live and session guitarist around the LA area. Anthony's work as a technologist is also broad in scope from audio engineering - mixing, post production, recording - to creating MaxMSP patches, arranging Ableton sessions, or designing Kontakt instruments and other VSTs. Beyond these, Anthony also works in score preparation of various types from basic copyediting, to arranging, and orchestrating. Anthony is also an academic writer whose most recent paper was published for the 2019 NIME conference on early explorations into electronic music.
