It doesn’t know this is its final, painful dream. But she did. She had stopped fighting. She knew now that even without resistance, she would still fade. Just like the day she first opened that strange, silent book — unaware of the cost it demanded. Now she understood. Now, for every memory that hurt too much, she opened a page. No pleading. No reflection. Each page erased a piece of her past. Each erasure left her a little lighter. A little emptier. A little closer to peace. And so, before her final breath, she turned one last page — and quietly disappeared.
