Have an app that needs to run on a server, stable and easy to update?
I will set it up with Docker so it just works.
What I do
- Install Docker and Docker Compose on your server
- Write or fix your Dockerfile and docker-compose.yml
- Run your app and its services (database, cache, etc.)
- Auto-restart if the app or the server goes down
- Persistent data with volumes, so nothing is lost on restart
- Optional: domain with free SSL (Let's Encrypt)
What you get
- Your app running in Docker
- Dockerfile and docker-compose.yml (you own them)
- Short guide: how to update, restart and view logs
What I need from you
- Your app code (GitHub repo is fine) or a Docker image
- A VPS with Ubuntu or Debian
- SSH access (I will send you my public key, no passwords)
How I work
- Snapshot/backup before any change
- No passwords or secrets in the code: they go to .env files
- Tested before delivery: restart the server, the app comes back
