Applied Scientist Intern - Audio Processing & Generative Audio

Summary:
We are seeking an Applied Scientist Intern specializing in audio and graphics to join our dynamic team. Collaborating with top-tier researchers and scientists, you will tackle complex challenges in deep learning, focusing on areas such as speech enhancement, automatic speech recognition (ASR), voice activity detection (VAD), speech synthesis (text-to-speech, TTS), voice conversation (VC), and multi-language modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Research Scientists in preprocessing audio signals.
- Develop data pipelines, including extracting specific features.
- Assist Research Scientists in implementing their findings in production.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an MS/PhD in audio research or related fields.
- Proficiency in linear algebra, signal processing, and numerical optimization.
- Strong grasp of deep learning techniques relevant to the audio domain, like ASR, VAD, TTS, or SST.
- Experience with audio signal processing methods.
- Solid skills in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow, as well as Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with compute platforms such as GCP or AWS.
Desired Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an ongoing PhD program related to audio synthesis, visual computing, or related areas.
- Experience addressing audio challenges using deep learning (e.g., denoising, speech recognition, VAD).
- Track record of publications in respected audio journals or conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver AI solutions at scale in industrial settings.
- Strong coding proficiency in Python or C++.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas and understanding requirements.
