About the Opportunity
This role is pivotal at one of the fastest-growing global cryptocurrency exchanges. Reporting to the European Deputy General Counsel in Dublin, the Associate General Counsel will collaborate with internal stakeholders and business teams to provide legal counsel within a diverse and global organization. The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, a collaborative mindset, and preferably, experience in the cryptocurrency and fintech sector.

Responsibilities
- Assist in licensing processes across targeted jurisdictions and liaise with the Global Licensing Team.
- Oversee external legal counsel.
- Conduct legal research on global laws impacting the crypto industry.
- Provide legal and regulatory guidance on regional business strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to achieve company objectives through draft applications and materials.
- Support in civil or regulatory litigation matters and manage outside counsel as required.
- Address legal requests from various business areas and offer strategic legal advice to business leaders.
Requirements
- Membership with the Law Society of Ireland, a US state bar (CA or NY preferred), or equivalent.
- 5+ years of legal experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house within financial services or other regulated sectors.
- Strong interest in blockchain technology and knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multicultural setting.
- Dedication to building rapport and advising business teams effectively.
- Demonstrated capability to navigate legal complexities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with project management skills.
