As a Public Affairs Lead, you will play a key role in shaping Bitpanda's public policy positions and advocating for them within the market. You will closely monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance within the crypto sector. Additionally, you will engage with external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, legislators, and industry associations.

Responsibilities:

Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, particularly the forthcoming Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) under MiCA.

Analyze regulatory requirements and assess their impact on our business operations, identifying areas for adjustment.

Develop well-informed policy positions and draft responses for public consultations.

Act as Bitpanda's representative in industry associations.

Engage with public sector entities, including National Competent Authorities (NCAs), legislators, and regulatory bodies.

Provide informative briefings and strategic advice to executives and senior management on evolving frameworks in the Crypto-Assets and MiCA space.

Requirements:

Extensive network in Germany to effectively engage with key decision makers and stakeholders.

Exceptional English communication skills and proficiency in German.

Law, business, or communication degree or similar qualification.

Minimum of 3 years of regulatory or Public Affairs experience in the financial or crypto industry.

In-depth knowledge of the EU's Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) and strong analytical skills.

Previous experience in Public Policy, Governmental Affairs, Lobbying, or similar roles.

To improve our compliance with privacy regulations around the world, we are looking for a Data Protection Legal Counsel, motivated to join our dynamic Ledgers’ Data Protection Office and experience an in-house legal environment in a diverse and fast-moving high technology-focused environment.
Your main responsibilities will be the following :
Participate in the definition and the implementation of the group’s privacy compliance program for all B2C and B2B products and services.
Support contract negotiations with 3rd party vendors regarding privacy issues. 
Take part in the privacy and security risk assessment carried out for our new vendors and maintain the mapping of all data flows in order to identify risks and take mitigation measures.
Play a key support role across the team and step on matters where the business needs assistance on critical projects (e-commerce, products, B2B, HR, back office, marketing, customer support…).
Draft any process, template and guideline necessary to improve Ledger privacy practices.
Supervise the processing of customer and employee data requests and contribute to its automation.
Raise privacy awareness among our employees, in particular by developing our Privacy & Security Champions network. 
Ensure a technological and legal watch to anticipate future regulations and uses of personal data.

In this role you will have the opportunity to support Ledger’s B2C business across a broad range of areas and assist on various important activities across the entire legal team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Assist on contract management-related and other critical legal processes, third-party on-boarding checks and other administrative tasks.
Draft and negotiate different contracts across a broad range of areas including marketing, sales, procurement, IP licensing and general commercial engagements with third parties.
Support key projects and assist on the launch of new products and services.
Perform legal research tasks.
Assist on disputes and contentious matters.
Depending on the legal team and business needs, you will be prepared to jump in and support across a wide range of areas in an industry that is fast-paced and constantly evolving.
What we are looking for:
You are a trainee lawyer and / or have a DJCE / Master II (BAC+5) in business law or new technologies / multimedia law (ideally with a focus on commercial law, financial law, technology law or distribution law).
You already have previous meaningful internship experience in commercial law.
Background in data privacy and IP law is a big plus.

About the position
EPASS is looking for a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) who will lead the company’s legal and compliance functions and staff, oversee and coordinate legal matters, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and collaborate with outside counsel as needed. The CLO will report to the CEO and serve as a member of the Executive team.
Currently, our project is at the pre-seed stage, requiring investment for further development. The team is a startup's most important resource, without a strong staff, it's impossible to launch a successful product or find an investor. As a result, we are now building a team that will be able to start working in 3 months, during which we plan to secure investment.

Developing and leading a corporate legal strategy to promote and protect company matters
Developing and leading internal audit and corporate compliance programs
Overseeing the delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities

Your profile:
