About the Role:
We are seeking an individual to join our data analytics team and collaborate closely with our business teams to enhance the firm's service offerings.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with quantitative teams to grasp data requirements.
- Work with various business units to develop analytical datasets.
- Develop high throughput near real-time event-driven datasets using live trade and market data.
- Create solutions facilitating reliable extraction of insights from market data.
- Interface with external APIs to ingest necessary data.
- Partner with developer teams to onboard them to the data platform employing best practices.
- Design dashboards using Business Intelligence tools to present data to business teams.
- Maintain databases critical for downstream data areas.
- Participate in product design, implementation, and quality assurance.
- Recommend enhancements to data collection, consumption, and storage processes.
Your Qualifications/Attributes:
- 3 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong passion for data analytics with a solid understanding of order book mechanics.
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Strong skills in SQL and modeling relational data.
- Experience with REST and WS APIs.
- Proficiency in building event-driven applications using Kafka.
- Familiarity with databases including tick data stores (MySQL, Clickhouse, etc).
- Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Linux, Docker considered a plus.
- Exposure to DevOps environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in financial services, especially e-Trading, High-Frequency Trading, or Derivatives Trading support.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills in English.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Experience organizing and curating datasets.
