About the Team:
The OKX data team is responsible for the entire data scope of OKG, covering technical selection, architecture design, data ingestion, data storage, ETL, data visualization, business intelligence, and data science. The team consists of data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists. They have end-to-end ownership of most of the data at OKX throughout the entire data lifecycle, including data ingestion, data ETL, data warehousing, and data services. As a data engineer on the team, you will collaborate with the team to leverage data technologies to support evidence-based decision-making and enhance the quality of the company's products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop resilient and efficient data pipelines for both batch and real-time streaming data with high-quality standards.
- Architect and design data infrastructure on the cloud using industry-standard tools.
- Execute projects with an Agile mindset.
- Create software frameworks to solve data problems at scale.
- Collaborate with legal/compliance product managers, software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to build scalable and data-driven platforms and tools.
- Ensure data integrity and scalability by enforcing data standards, improving data validation, and monitoring processes to proactively prevent and identify issues, and driving issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in Python/SQL.
- Solid experience in implementing batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Solid experience in a data role (data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence) in either the crypto or fintech industry.
- Experience with AWS and Alicloud.
- Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Collaboration with tech teams in Hong Kong and China may be required; knowledge of Mandarin is preferred.
- Experience with AWS data warehouse architecture design is a significant plus, including AWS Glue, Airflow, Spark, DBT.
- Experience in the Crypto and Fintech sectors.
- Experience working with teams across different offices and time zones is a plus.
