About the Opportunity:
The Design Operations (Design Ops) team manages the business operations of the design team, ensures design excellence, and helps shape and drive the design team's culture, craft, and priorities. As Design Ops, you will collaborate with cross-functional product teams, manage processes, and prioritize design work. Your role is to enable the design team to focus on delivering high-quality designs and ensure efficient delivery of design work to important product areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with and support the design team in delivering high-quality designs
- Act as a bridge between the design team, engineering, and product management teams
- Identify connections and potential collisions between various products and reconcile them
- Identify team needs related to process, tools, documentation, and asset management
- Develop and manage design programs, including resource allocation and timelines
- Define project timelines and tasks and manage large projects from start to finish
- Establish a process for receiving and prioritizing design requests
- Own the product lifecycle and interface with internal stakeholders
- Provide visibility and updates on projects, resource utilization, and team performance
- Implement or drive changes to optimize designers' efficiency
What We Look For In You:
- Bachelor's degree in Management or equivalent experience
- Experience in a PMO or PM role in a similar-sized company
- Ability to understand complex programs and define schedules
- Experience integrating processes with creative teams and managing risks
- Basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative research best practices
Nice to Haves:
- Bilingual in English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese stakeholders
- Experience with software such as Figma, Jira, Linear, Trello, and Notion
- Understanding of data analysis
