Director of Token Payroll
Toku is a cutting-edge global compensation and employment platform that specializes in real-time tax calculations, offering a unified global API for employment solutions and the seamless processing of non-cash compensation. Our flagship product, Token Grant Administration (TGA), has quickly gained traction in the market, becoming a key tool for crypto companies and their legal partners during token generation events.
Backed by notable investors and with substantial growth, we are seeking a seasoned payroll leader to enhance and expand our global financial infrastructure. This role, reporting directly to the Head of Finance, presents a unique opportunity to oversee both fiat and crypto payroll operations while engaging directly with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll operations across EMEA and APAC regions for over 15 countries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data according to the payroll calendar.
- Review and reconcile payroll data promptly for accurate and compliant payments.
- Maintain updated records and procedures to ensure payroll compliance across various jurisdictions.
- Supervise payroll provider performance and ensure alignment of new country payrolls with business standards.
- Address and resolve payroll issues efficiently, from identification to resolution.
- Handle statutory filing requirements and stay informed on payroll compliance within your jurisdiction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from internal and external parties.
- Stay informed on global payroll regulations and tax laws, particularly in the context of cryptocurrency transactions.
- Coordinate with Customer Success and Implementation teams for seamless client onboarding and support.
Requirements:
- MBA, BS, or equivalent qualifications.
- Over 7 years of financial management experience, with a focus on payroll operations and leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of global payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Experience in fast-growing startups at different stages.
- Proficiency in payroll regulations, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Innovative thinking with a knack for identifying growth opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and dynamic environment.
- Previous experience in founding companies or leading side projects.
