Project Overview
Nomos, a network of interconnected blockchains, is the trustless agreements layer within the Logos infrastructure. It will serve as a foundational infrastructure for communities and emerging network states to develop social, governance, and financial services, all while safeguarding fundamental rights and values of their members.
Key Responsibilities
This position will involve applied research, focusing on contributing to the development of new architectural solutions. The primary responsibilities include designing, specifying, and validating distributed systems using formal and experimental methods. Additionally, creating proof of concepts, preparing executable specifications, and staying abreast of emerging technologies in blockchain and distributed systems are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities also include conducting theoretical and practical analyses of distributed system performance and presenting research findings internally and externally at conferences as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding experience and strong research background are vital for this role.
- A solid foundation in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience with Blockchain and Distributed Systems.
- Proficiency in algorithms and assessing the correctness of distributed systems.
- Ability to decipher code in multiple languages, such as Java, Go, Rust, to understand various real-world systems.
- Excellent communication skills for sharing work through diverse channels including presentations, blog posts, and academic publications.
- Passion for privacy, censorship-resistant technology, and open protocols.
Bonus Qualifications
- Previous involvement with open-source organizations.
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
- Track record of publishing scientific papers.
