About the Opportunity
As part of the Risk Engineering department in OKX US Engineering, situated in San Jose, we are forging ahead with innovations in risk measurement, detection, prevention, and adherence in payment processes. The team is expanding rapidly and offers a stimulating environment for growth. We seek a dynamic engineering manager to lead the OKBrain Infra and ML team, which is instrumental in developing pipelines and ML models. What You’ll Be Doing
- Establish and oversee the Risk Actions team at OKX
- Collaborate with product and organizational objectives, and engage closely with management and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic outcomes
- Define a long-term technical roadmap for the team aligned with the Risk Engineering organization
- Lead system design and technical solutions for business services and tools
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables leveraging your technical expertise
- Hands-on involvement in coding high-quality, well-tested solutions to meet customer requirements
- Optimize systems for enhanced scalability and performance
- Foster a team culture that values innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence
What We Look For In You
- 8+ years of industry experience, with 3-5 years in people management leading small teams
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Fraud/Risk Management, preferably in the Payment sector
- Proficiency in Java, with an even split of 50% management and 50% hands-on responsibilities
- Sound grasp of system design, coding, and code review, particularly during releases, with a results-driven, data-centric approach

OKX Statement
The salary range for this position falls between $235,000 to $330,000. Compensation offered will vary based on multiple factors such as relevant expertise, skills, experience, and market location. The package may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, as well as health, financial, and other benefits.
