Description
Token Metrics is in search of a qualified individual to lead the Investment Research team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing investment initiatives and leading blockchain investment efforts. This includes developing financial models, conducting market research, interacting with entrepreneurs, and engaging in relevant networking events.
The incumbent will be tasked with identifying and assessing various investment opportunities and developing proactive investing strategies based on areas of interest. This role requires in-depth analysis and evaluation of potential venture capital investments and portfolio management activities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential company management teams will be crucial in leading investment processes effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Create financial models for VC financing, valuations, and liquidity events.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, including industry research, competitor analysis, and forming investment opinions.
- Prepare investment documents and presentations for internal review and external partners.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to improve operations and performance.
- Establish processes for the scalability of the investment process.
- Utilize existing network connections to source compelling investment opportunities.
- Present investment opportunities to the Executive Investment Committee.
- Stay updated on developments in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in investing within the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector.
- Possession of a CFA certification.
- Proven track record in top-tier venture capital, investment banking, or consulting roles.
- Experience leading strategic alliances and M&A transactions in technology sectors.
- Expertise in startup financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for producing high-quality presentations and materials.
