Job Overview:
Token Metrics is in need of a professional to lead their Investment Research team. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of investment transactions and blockchain investments, which includes developing financial models, conducting market research, networking with entrepreneurs, and participating in relevant conferences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop various financial models related to venture capital financing transactions, valuations, and other financial analyses.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments by gathering customer references, researching industries, and forming an informed opinion on investment prospects.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for the partnership, as well as lead investor meetings to pitch investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to improve operational performance while providing support on additional projects.
- Establish systematic processes to ensure a scalable investment process for Token Metrics.
- Utilize existing industry relationships to identify a wider range of attractive investment opportunities.
- Present investment opportunities to Token Metrics' Executive Investment Committee effectively and confidently.
- Stay informed on the latest news and trends in blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in investing within the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors.
- Certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- Proven track record at a prestigious venture capital firm, investment bank, consulting group, or similar entity dealing with mergers and acquisitions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate the strategic alliance and M&A processes within technology-focused transactions.
- Advanced knowledge of startup financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
- Strong decision-making skills for solving complex business challenges efficiently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the crafting of detailed and engaging presentations.
- Successful experience in leading, recruiting, and mentoring high-performance teams.
