Head of Risk
The Head of Risk will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies and frameworks for Ebisu Finance. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and the unique risks associated with decentralized finance. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to ensure the protocol's security, stability, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management Framework: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks tailored to the unique risks of DeFi, including smart contract vulnerabilities, liquidity risks, market risks, and operational risks. This includes, but is not limited to, scoping out and managing protocol simulations and risk models.
Market Surveillance: Monitor and analyze market conditions, identifying potential threats to the protocol's stability and implementing measures to mitigate these risks.
Incident Response: Develop and lead the protocol’s incident response strategy, including the management of any security breaches or other risk events. Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders during incidents.
Risk Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk reports to the executive team and stakeholders, highlighting key risk metrics, trends, and action plans.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on financial services, blockchain technology, or decentralized finance.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols. Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities in smart contracts and methods for mitigating these risks.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify key risk indicators.
