We are looking for a Security and Compliance Associate to play a vital role in our cybersecurity efforts. This position entails overseeing compliance programs, enhancing security operations, and implementing strategic security initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead compliance programs, focusing on audit, ensuring maturity of SOC 2 compliance framework.
- Collaborate with team leads, driving security initiatives to align with company processes.
- Manage security incidents including technical investigations and swift resolution.
- Configure and maintain security tools encompassing various infrastructure components.
- Present detailed reports on GRC processes and cybersecurity matters.
- Conduct vendor security risk assessments and monitor cybersecurity threats.
- Support the development of security policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Enhance security tooling and infrastructure with IT teams.
- Create and manage security operations dashboards and incident-based metrics.
- Communicate project goals clearly to non-technical team members and manage project tasks effectively.
- Prioritize tasks efficiently amidst multiple stakeholders' demands.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years IT experience, with at least 3 years specialized in Information Security.
- Proficiency in SOC 2 compliance, familiarity with ISO27001 or NIST frameworks.
- Strong technical skills with scripting, cloud operations, and network administration background.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
- Preferred security certification (e.g. CISSP, CEH).
- Expertise in public cloud security practices, specifically AWS and GCP.
- Proficient in documentation and problem-solving.
